2006 Literary Festival

The 2006 festival hosted live entertainment acts, children storytelling, PBS's Arthur, WTVI's Seemore Goodstuff, vendors and How To workshops. Also featured was world-renowned author/poet Nikki Giovanni, as well as over 30 additional authors. Your sponsorship can
help make this year's festival even more successful! The festival drew a crowd of about 4,000 attendees over the August 12th and 13th weekend, and its expected growth is inevitable. Charlotte has one of the largest markets for local authors in this country! We partnered with some of the world's leading publishing companies (Harper Collins, Hay House, and Random House).

Our past sponsors included Channel 3 WTVI-PBS. PBS, our title sponsor, conducted a large promotional campaign in efforts to attract children to the festival by bringing two of their popular television characters, Arthur, and Seemore Goodstuff. Others included WJZL FM 92.7, 107.9 The Link, The NoDa Association, News 14 Carolina, Sotac Magazine, Mecklenburg Park & Recreation and more.
